Back on Track
Back on Track is a project co-funded under the Interreg Danube Region Programme aimed at fostering the (re)integration of young NEETs (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) in rural areas back into education, training, and the labor market. Recognizing the challenges faced by NEETs in rural communities, the project focuses on enhancing their basic skills, resilience, and virtual mobility to empower them for sustainable employment and personal growth.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Objectives of the Project:
- Improving effective outreach to NEETs in rural areas.
- Fostering the integration of rural NEETs into education, training, or the labor market.
- Empowering rural NEETs to build core skills and resilience necessary for personal and professional development.
Project Implementation
We will achieve this by:
- Building a stakeholder network, including NEETs, to ensure comprehensive support and collaboration.
- Understanding the diversity of rural NEETs to tailor interventions effectively.
- Developing a joint outreach strategy to reach and engage NEETs in rural communities.
- Preparing "Train the Mentor" capacity building programs to equip mentors with the skills necessary to support NEETs effectively.
- Delivering a mentoring pilot program to provide personalized guidance and support to rural NEETs.
- Increasing awareness of remote working opportunities to broaden employment prospects.
- Boosting rural NEETs' human capital by developing a digital learning course to enhance their basic skills.
- Improving the quality of life and mental readiness of rural NEETs by expanding their self-management and resilience competencies.
Project partner: Back on Track involves 14 project partners from various countries, including: Austria (Coordinator), Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary.
Project duration: January 2023 - June 2026
