CLIMentines
Promoting youth engagement for climate action
CLIMentines aims to foster a new generation of young, environmentally conscious, and politically active Europeans. The project equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to advocate more actively and effectively for climate protection at both national and European levels. This empowers young people to engage in the global dialogue on climate action and democratic decision-making processes.
The project brings together seven organizations from six European countries to establish a transnational network for youth exchange on climate protection.
Project activities
- Establishment of a transnational network.
- Publication of a study that provides an analytical overview of existing youth participation projects and initiatives on climate protection in the partner countries and at the EU level.
- Conducting workshops and international training sessions for youth workers.
- Development of a toolbox for youth organizations and youth workers, which will be available in seven languages.
- Creation of a climate protection guide for youth workers in seven languages.
- Support in forming six local climate protection task forces.
- Implementation of a transnational youth exchange.
Project objectives
- Networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange: Connecting youth organizations and young people, strengthening mutual knowledge exchange, and promoting shared learning through the creation of a transnational network.
- Empowerment: Supporting young people in their engagement for climate protection, strengthening their skills and confidence to effectively influence climate policy.
- Capacity building: Supporting youth organizations and youth workers by providing concrete tools and knowledge to promote effective participation models for young activists and to strengthen democratic decision-making processes.
