In ccoperation with ÖJAB the NGO Committee on Ageing der United Nations is organising the "United Nations International Day of Older Persons" commemoration on 3 October 2022 at the ÖJAB-Haus Niederösterreich 1.
Johannes Rauch, Federal Minister of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection in Austria will also attend the event.
Austria's Minister is the Key Note Speaker
The International Day of Older Persons is celebrated by raising awareness about issues affecting the elderly. The NGO Commitee on Ageing of the United Nations in Vienna regularly hosts commemorations on this issue.
We are very pleased that the "United Nations International Day of Older Persons" commemoration 2022 will take place at the youth and student dormitoryÖJAB-Haus Niederöterreich 1. We are also looking forward to welcome Austria's Minister Johannes Rauch, who will be a keynote speaker at the commemoration. The event will focus on the aspect "The Resilience and Contributions of Older Women". The event participants can expect interesting speeches concerning topics like ageing, mental health, climate change and care.

The NGO Committee on Ageing advocates on behalf of older persons’ rights before the UN Commissions, promotes further integration of ageing issues into UN policies and programmes and encourages Member States to include ageing needs and rights in their policies.
