How do I register for a dorm room?
Register online here. Online registration takes just a few minutes and is entirely free and nonbinding. You’ll find further information about registering online here.
Can I register for a dorm room at any time?
Yes. You can register online for a dorm room at any time here.
In general: the earlier, the better!
I’m under 18. Can I move into a dorm anyway?
Yes. You’re very welcome to move in with us as long as we have free space.
I haven’t yet taken my school leaving examination (e.g., Abitur / Matura). Can I go ahead and register for a dorm room anyway?
Yes. Online registration is free and nonbinding and can be done here. In general: the earlier, the better!
I’m not enrolled at a university or similar institution. Can I register for a dorm room anyway?
Yes, that’s possible! Please register here, and we’ll send you an offer as soon as we have free space for you.

Can Erasmus students register for a dorm room?
Of course! Erasmus students are very welcome at our dormitories.
Do you have barrier-free rooms as well? In which ÖJAB dormitory with accessible rooms can I register for a dorm room?
If you need place in a accessible room, please contact us directly at housing@oejab.at.
Can I move into a room together with a friend?
We always try to make it possible for friends and/or couples to live in the same room if they’d like to do so. Please note this in the online registration form in the field labeled “Do you have any wishes or comments?”
I need a dorm room very urgently. Can I move in at short notice?
Yes, you can move into an ÖJAB dormitory at short notice if a place there is free.

What’s the best way to reach the house management of my preferred dorm?
Contact information for the house management of a given dormitory can be found in that dorm’s profile at https://www.oejab.at/en/students/dormitories (Click on the dormitory you’re interested in and scroll all the way down to “CONTACT & ADDRESS.”)
